I've been using these towels for a few weeks now and putting them through all the tasks for which I use them - from general house cleaning to using with a brush & steamer to "mop" the floors. Before I used the towels, I followed the instructions on the bag in which they were packaged which directed me to wash them before use. This I did in hot water and followed with drying on high heat. The towels retained their shape and size. I wipe up lots of messes left by a geriatric pup who piddles daily on my tile and have found that the absorbency of these towels is outstanding! These have lived up to my expectations and certainly far and away surpassed the diy home store variety I was replacing.I would characterize the quality of these towels as middle of the road. But, they're only about a dollar a piece and you get a pack of 24 of them. I just keep a stack of them in my kitchen and use them entirely in place of paper towels. I've had far more expensive bar towels that work just about as effectively as these do.I ordered these and a towel with a blue stripe from a different company. Same price but these look shabbier. They will definitely do the job though.I work in a brewery, and we use tons of these "bar mop" type rags daily. I wanted to have some for my home brew setup, so I took a chance that these were like the high quality ones that we use at work. They absolutely are! Like the package says... wash first. They fluff up nice, are very absorbent, strong, and are exactly the right size for general use around breweries and behind the bar. I got the gold ones, because we use blue at work, and I did not coworkers wondering if they came from there, lol. 5-stars!Had to wash several times to get all the original lint offMAKE SURE YOU WASH THEM TWICE BEFORE YOU USE THEM!!! They shed a lot those first couple washes.Best deal I found for working towels. Great price for the quantity and the quality is fine.The product does not have color stripe I wished for
